Roberto Johnson is a writer and photographer based in Santa Barbara, California. His work has been featured in Aquarium Drunkard, Tape Op, Visit Newport Beach and the Santa Barbara Independent. From 2017 to 2021, he was the editor of the music blog Riffs & Rhymes. He has chronicled the work of various musicians in the folk, rock, and psychedelic spheres, including Mapache, Bonny Light Horseman, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. As a visual artist, he has collaborated with Alan Parsons and ParSonics Studios, Jeffrey Silverstein, and Circles Around the Sun. His first collection of writing and photography, A Sense of Place, was published as a zine in 2021.
